The Modern Victory Garden

This class will explore the modern day victory garden.  Victory gardens, were vegetable fruit, and herb gardens planted at private residences or public parks during WWI and WWII.  During this time of pandemic, many people are turning to growing their own garden for more food security and as a way to enjoy the outdoors.  This workshop, led by LWF’s John Henry Nelson, will teach how to maximize your garden in this time of unknown through garden planning and expert tips. Virtual participants will learn a step-by-step program on how to grow more food and implement a modern Victory Garden

In this class you will learn how to design and implement a garden that will maximize your space, time, and sustainable input.

Path/Lainway
Garden beds
Seed saving
Double cropping
At home fertilizer making
Right crops for storage
