We often think of coffee as one of the most distant products we consume, have confusion about its health effects, and wonder about its place in the effort toward sustainability. Join Josh Gibbs, co-owner of Dynamite Roasting Company, in this workshop exploring how the sourcing, trading, and buying of coffee can be an active choice toward sustaining communities, stewarding the environment, and protecting the lands and sovereignty of indigenous peoples. In addition, you’ll participate in a cupping, allowing you to explore the flavor and unique characteristics of coffee from around the world.
